Bringing intelligence into the light

In an article entitled, "Bringing Intelligence into the light," published by RUSI, the Royal United Services Institute, Jonathan Evans, in an unprecedented 2009 interview by a serving Director General of MI5, claims that the heightened number of prosecutions of potential terrorists has "chilled" the terror networks.

RUSI quotes Evans:

"There have been eighty-six successful convictions since January 2007, of whom approaching half pleaded guilty, which has had a chilling effect on the enthusiasm of the networks. They're keeping their heads down."
