Yemen arrests ex-Gitmo detainee who fought in Afghanistan and Kashmir

In an article entitled "Yemen arrests ex-Gitmo detainee who fought in Afghanistan and Kashmir," The Long War Journal reports on Tuesday, September 7, 2010 that a former Guantanamo detainee who joined al Qaeda after completing a Saudi rehabilitation program has been arrested in Yemen.

Over two dozen Guantanamo detainees have graduated from the Saudi program only to return to al Qaeda. Before graduating from the Saudi program, Jabir Jubran al Fayfi's Guantanamo file indicates that he wanted to return to Saudi Arabia where he could be with his family and resume his job as a taxi driver. Despite telling US authorities that he was finished with jihad, al Fayfi now finds himself among other detainees in Yemen.
