Man pleads not guilty in terror funding group

The Miami Herald reports on November 9, 2010, in an article entitled "Man pleads not guilty in terror funding group," that a Minnesotan says he's not guilty of plotting to send money to a terrorist group in Somalia that the U.S. says has ties to al-Qaida

Abdi Mahdi Hussein, of Minneapolis entered his plea Monday in U.S. District Court in St. Louis where he was indicted last month along with two other men.

The government argues that Hussein sent money by wire transfer to al-Shabab supporters in Somalia between 2008 and at least July 2009. He is charged with one count of conspiracy to structure monetary transactions.
