Man indicted for allegedly plotting attack on Pentagon, U.S. Capitol – CNN

On September 29, 2011, CNN reported that 26 year old Massachusetts resident Rezwan Ferdaus was charged for attempting to provide material support to al-Qaeda. Federal authorities noted that although he has no direct connection to a foreign terrorist organization, Ferdaus watched radical videos on the internet.

Ferdaus was arrested as a result of an undercover investigation in which he provided FBI undercover agents with materials intended to be used to kill U.S. soldiers abroad. According to federal authorities, Ferdaus planned to use model airplanes to attack the Pentagon and U.S. Capital.
