FBI agent recounts visit to terror suspect – Boston Globe

On November 17, 2011, the Boston Globe reported that FBI Special Agent Brad Davis testified for the government in the case against Tarek Mehanna.

According to the article, Agent Davis recounted interviewing Mehanna five years ago. According to the article, during the interview Mehanna told Agent Davis that he visited Yemen "for the purpose of finding an Arabic language school and an Islamic religious school."

According to federal prosecutors, Mehanna and his associate Ahmad Abousamra "traveled to the Middle Eastern country in February 2004 seeking terrorism training to carry out violent jihad, including against American soldiers in Iraq and Afghanistan."
