St. Louis Man Pleads Guilty to Providing Material Support to Terrorist Organization – FBI

On November 3, 2011, the St. Louis Division of the FBI reported that Mohamud Abdi Yusuf pleaded guilty to providing material support to a foreign terrorist organization.

According to federal prosecutors, from 2008 to 2009, Yusuf conspired to provide money to al Shabaab in Somalia. This was the first international terrorism case prosecuted in Eastern Missouri since 9/11. The case was investigated by the FBI Joint Terrorism Task Force.
