Final witness called in Tarek Mehanna terror support trial – Boston Globe

In the on-going case of suspected terror supporter, Tarek Mehanna, the Boston Globe reported on December 14, 2011 that the defense's last witness, Marc Sageman, testified in court.  According to the article, defense attorneys sought to use Sageman, a former CIA spy who had worked with Afghan commanders in the 1980s, to "refute the testimony of Evan Kohlmann, a prosecution analyst who told jurors that Al Qaeda looks to inspire and recruit its followers by reaching them on the Internet."
