Indonesian group added to U.S. terror list – CNN

On February 23, 2012, CNN's national security blog reported that the U.S. State Department has added Jemaah Ansharut Tauhid (JAT), a radical Indonesian Islamist group, to the Foreign Terrorist Organization list.

According to the article, the group's founder, Abu Bakar Bashir, co-founded Jemaah Islamiya, a foreign terrorist organization responsible for the 2002 bombings in Bali that killed more than 200 people.  Accordingly, the Treasury Department will freeze all JAT assets in the U.S. and prohibit any U.S. citizen from engaging in business with the terrorist organization.
