Treasury Dept. goes after Iranian arms shippers – CNN

On March 27, 2012 CNN's national security blog reported that the U.S. Treasury Department has sanctioned an "Iranian airline, three Iranian officials, a trading company and a shipping agent" for providing support to Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps-Quds Force, a designated foreign terrorist organization.  According to the article, the entities engaged in the shipment of weapons to the Levant, "a collection of countries on the eastern Mediterranean Sea that includes Syria, as well as to Africa."
