DHS Sued for Information Regarding Drone Use

Nov 7th, 2012 targetted killing

Press TV reports that the Electronic Frontier Foundation (EFF), an American Internet privacy advocacy group, has filed suit against the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) in order to gain access to information about the use of predator drones. According to Press TV, EFF Staff Attorney Jennifer Lynch stated:

Drones are a powerful surveillance tool that can be used to gather extensive data about you and your activities. The public needs to know more about how and why these predator drones are being used to watch US citizens.

The lawsuit follows DHS’s failure to comply with EFF’s previously issued Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) request.
