OSJI Releases Report on CIA Rendition Program

The Guardian reports that a document was recently published by the Open Society Justice Initiative (OSJI) detailing the extent of the CIA’s extraordinary rendition program.

According to the report, at least fifty-four countries were involved in the global kidnapping, detention, and torture operation that followed the 9/11 attacks.

The report further states:

There is no doubt that high-ranking Bush administration officials bear responsibility for authorizing human rights violations associated with secret detention and extraordinary rendition, and the impunity that they have enjoyed to date remains a matter of significant concern.
